Four Gusties Named to MIAC Softball All-Conference Team

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The MIAC announced its 2025 softball awards Monday and four Gusties were named to the All-Conference Team - Caitlin Olafsson, Greta Dahlen, Maizie Anderson, and Ava Hamsund. Kayla Herda was selected honorable mention. 

Olafsson makes her first appearance on the All-MIAC team after boasting a .361 batting average in league play. She collected 26 hits with 11 runs, four doubles, two triples and eight RBIs, while slugging at .474. At second base, Olafsson held a .926 fielding percentage in 81 chances. 

Dahlen also earns her first All-Conference honor after hitting a team-best .380 against MIAC opponents. Dahlen connected for 27 hits with nine runs, two doubles, and 12 RBIs. She owned a .408 slugging and .443 on base percentage. In the outfield, Dahlen had a perfect fielding percentage in 26 chances. 

Anderson garners her third consecutive All-Conference selection after serving as the ace of the staff. Anderson went 7-5 in league play with a 3.33 ERA in a team-high 67.1 innings. She started 11 MIAC games with seven complete outings and a team-high 54 strikeouts. 

Hasmund earns her second consecutive All-MIAC award after being the one-two punch with Anderson. Hasmund started 11 games against conference opponents with a 2.58 ERA in 54.1 innings. She struck out 21 batters and had five complete games. 

After earning All-Conference the past two seasons, Herda is an honorable mention selection this season after batting .289 in 22 conference games. Herda collected 22 hits with a team-high 15 runs. She also had three doubles and five RBIs. In the outfield, Herda boasted a .973 fielding percentage in 37 chances.
