Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth at St. Kate's Fall Invite

9/21/2025 11:51:00 PM

WOODBURY, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women's golf team competed in the St. Kate's Fall Invite this weekend. The Gusties placed fourth out of the field of 12 teams with a score of +40 for the two-round tournament. Carleton placed first with a team score of +25.

"We played fine today, but not quite good enough to hold our position or move up in the standings," said head coach Scott Moe. "We only had three birdies on the day as a team. We really struggled on and around the greens. From tee to green we were really good, but the rest of it needs to be cleaned up this week before we head out to our next event."

Riley Zebroski led the top Gustie team by tying for sixth overall out of the field of 73 golfers, shooting +4 through the two rounds. Lauren Hubbart followed at +8 for the weekend, tying for ninth overall. Emily Kolb placed 21st overall with a score of +12. Addison Longie followed in a tie for 33rd overall after shooting +18. Layla Mathews tied for 43rd at +22.

Up next for the Gusties is the Williams Invitational starting Saturday, September 27 and running through Sunday, September 28 in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

"We have split squads this week as we send our top team to an awesome tournament out at Taconic Country Club hosted by Williams College with 24 really good teams," said Moe. "Our other squad is heading to a Division II field hosted by Southwest Minnesota State at Marshall. Congrats to Riley and Lauren for impressive top 10 finishes in a really good field this weekend."
