SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women's soccer team hosted the Luther College Norse on Wednesday evening in a non-conference contest. The game was a continuation of their previously suspended contest back on September 13, resuming with 3:59 remaining in the scoreless first half. The Gusties scored in the second half and shut out the Norse to secure a 1-0 victory.
Cambelle Waldspurger scored the game-winner for Gustavus. The senior fired a shot from the near side that soared over the head of the Norse keeper into the back of the net on the far side to give the Gusties the lead, with
Tessa Zachmann assisting.
Katelyn Olson had four saves in goal for Gustavus to secure the shutout victory.
Up next for the Gusties is another home game on Saturday, September 27 against the College of Saint Benedict at 3:30 p.m.
