WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Gustavus Adolphus College gymnastics team battled the No. 3 nationally ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks on the road Saturday night, falling 191.875-183.950.
 
Kate Clairmont tied for first place in the balance beam, earning a score of 9.700. Megan Gille had the next-best mark for the Gusties on the beam, scoring a 9.425 to tie for sixth overall.
 
Cara Wong led Gustavus in the vault with a 9.650, tying for second place with two UW-Whitewater athletes. Malia Narciso followed for the Gusties with an eighth-place finish, scoring 9.350.
 
Autumn Schmidt tied for fifth place in the uneven bars, scoring 9.200 to lead the team. Clairemont followed right after, scoring 9.125 to place seventh.
 
Jenna Huikko scored 9.375 in the floor routine, placing seventh overall.
 
Zara Reboks was the all-around champion, scoring 36.425 points across all four events.
 
Up next for the Gusties is another away meet Gustavus travels to St. Paul to take on the Hamline University Pipers on Friday, February 6 at 6:30 p.m.
