SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College gymnastics team battled the Simpson College Storm on Friday night in their regular season finale. The Gusties earned their highest team score of the season with 187.600 points as the team celebrated senior night, though the Storm scored 190.500 to take the meet.
Cara Wong and
Zara Reboks earned the two all-around honors. Wong led the way with 38.100 points in the meet, which ties the sophomore for the fourth-best all-around score in program history. Reboks finished as runner-up with 36.325.
Wong led the Gusties in the vault, finishing as the runner-up with a score of 9.700.
Kate Clairmont followed, scoring 9.600 to place sixth overall.
Taylor Hall had the third-best score for Gustavus in the vault at 9.525. The Storm topped the Gusties in the vault team score, 48.250-47.725.
In the balance beam,
Megan Gille scored 9.625 to lead Gustavus and place second overall.
Malia Narciso followed, tying for fourth place with a score of 9.550. Wong placed seventh with a 9.450. Simpson narrowly won balance beam by a margin of just 0.175, scoring 47.350 to the Gusties' 47.175.
Wong had the top score for the Gusties in the uneven bars at 9.350 to place third overall. Clairmont scored 9.150 to take fifth overall. Schmidt placed seventh overall, scoring 9.100. Simpson won the event, outscoring Gustavus 46.450-45.375.
In the floor exercise, Wong led the Gusties with a 9.600 to place seventh overall.
Mollie Ruch and Gille followed, scoring 9.500 and 9.450 to place eighth and ninth respectively. The Storm led in the floor exercise 48.450-47.325.
Up next for the Gusties is the 2026 WIAC Women's Gymnastics Championship, which is also the NCGA West Regional. Gustavus will travel to compete in the conference and regional championship, hosted by Winona State University, on Saturday, March 7 at 12:30 p.m.
