WINONA, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College gymnastics team competed in the WIAC Women's Gymnastics Championship on Saturday, March 7 in Winona. The meet also serves as the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional. The Gusties recorded their second-highest score of the season at 186.550 to place seventh of nine at the championship meet.
Cara Wong and
Zara Reboks led Gustavus in the all-around at the championship meet. Wong placed third with 36.975 points. Reboks followed with 36.250 points to take fourth.
Kate Clairmont led the Gusties in the vault, scoring 9.500 to tie for 35
th overall. Wong followed, tying for 38
th with a score of 9.450.
Malia Narciso tied for 44
th at 9.375.
Wong led Gustavus with a 9.400 in the uneven bars, tying for 29
th overall.
Autumn Schmidt followed right after, tied for 31
st at 9.375. Clairmont wrapped up the top three performances for the Gusties in bars with a score of 9.275, placing 36
th.
Clairmont had the top Gustavus score in the balance beam, earning 9.525 points to tie for 32
nd overall. Schmidt scored 9.450 to place 34
th overall.
Megan Gille had the third-best marks for the Gusties, placing 36
th overall at 9.350.
In the floor exercise, Reboks led the Gusties with a 9.600, tying for 28
th overall. Gille and Wong followed, tying for 31
st overall with identical scores of 9.575
