WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women's golf team competed in the final day of Bethel University's Rumble at the Ridge on Sunday at the Oneka Ridge Golf Course. Following stroke play in the opening round on Saturday, the competition turned to match play on Sunday as the Gusties took on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the College of Saint Benedict. Gustavus won 6.5-3 over the Blu Golds and 6.5-1.5 against the Bennies.
In the Gusties' 6.5-3 win over Eau Claire, the Blu Golds won match one 4&3 but
Addison Longie took match two 5&3. The Blu Golds won 4&2 at match three, but
Lauren Hubbart took a 5&4 win at match four.
Teckla Wahlstrand was victorious in match five, winning 4&2.
Layla Mathews took match one against Saint Benedict 5&4.
Sydney Lovick dominated with a 7&6 victory in match two.
Mary Kate Hewitt won match three 2&1.
Josie Raiche played to a tie in match four as the Gusties won 6.5-1.5.
Up next for Gustavus is the St. Olaf/Carleton Invite, starting Saturday, April 25 and finishing Sunday, April 26 at Willinger's Golf Club in Northfield.
