4/26/2026 6:38:00 PM

FARIBAULT, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women's golf team competed in the Northfield Open this weekend, hosted by Carleton College and St. Olaf College at Willinger's Golf Club for round one and Legacy Golf for round two in the final event of the season for the team. The Gusties shot +72 as a team through the two-round tournament to place third out of the field of seven teams.

Carleton won the event with a team score of +30. St. Catherine was the runner-up at +46. Saint Benedict followed Gustavus by one stroke to place fourth at +73.

"Proud of how our women wrapped up the season," said Gustie Head Coach Scott Moe. "In a strong MIAC field, finishing in third place was a really good showing. It was great to see Addy have another solid day and finish in third place."

Addison Longie led Gustavus over the weekend, shooting +7 to place third overall out of the field of 44 golfers. The first year shot +5 in the opening round and then tied for the second-best score of round two with +2 on Sunday.

Riley Zebroski followed with the second-best Gustie score, shooting +15 to tie for 12th overall.

Layla Mathews and Teckla Wahlstrand had the next-best scores for Gustavus while competing with the B team, shooting scores of +21 and +22 to tie for 22nd and 24th, respectively.

Josie Raiche and Lauren Hubbart had the third and fourth counted scores for the Gusties' main team, tying for 28th with identical scores of +26 for the weekend.

Emily Kolb and Jenna Piepkorn followed with scores of +28 and +31 as they, along with fellow senior Hubbart, competed in their final collegiate tournament.

"Today was an awesome day to celebrate our seniors," said Coach Moe. "They put their heart and soul into the college and our program. They've had so much success in the classroom and on the golf course; their work ethic has set the tone for their teammates. Emily, Lauren, and Jenna: you will be missed but we hope you are not gone for long and become amazing and supportive alumni. Now you get to play from the red tees and ride a cart. Thank you!"
