BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Jimmy Abdo and Kyle Peterson of the No. 17/18 nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus College men's golf team has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Golf Athletes of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
 
Peterson and Abdo both finished at 1-under at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational this weekend. After firing a -4 on the first day, Peterson finished with a +3 on day two in harsh conditions while Abdo went -1 and even-par in his two rounds. The two scores were able to help the Gustie teams both tie for 11th place at the event and individually topped the No. 15, No. 47, No. 16, No. 52, and No. 28 golfers in the country according to Clippd.
 
After taking next weekend off, the Gusties host the Bobby Krig Invite on April 18th and 19th, taking place at New Prague Golf Club and LeSueur Country Club.
