SAINT PETER, Minn. - After 15 meets this spring, it is time for the MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, taking place this Friday and Saturday at St. Olaf. Last week, the heptathlon kicked off the championship proceedings, earning a point to sit in fifth place heading into this weekend.
TICKETS
Daily tickets are required to attend the MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. All tickets will be sold and purchased online via HomeTown Ticketing. There will not be cash sales at the venue; however, spectators can purchase tickets using a mobile device at any time, including while at the venue. Tickets are available for purchase on the MIAC's HomeTown Ticketing site.
Single-day adult tickets will be $13, and student tickets are $4. (Note: additional HomeTown Ticketing convenience and credit card fees will be added during checkout, with estimated totals being $13.70 for adult / $4.43 for student per single-day ticket.) Children ages five and under do not require a ticket. Those eligible for student tickets include individuals currently enrolled in college, high school, middle school, and elementary school. Student ID is required where applicable.
CHAMPIONSHIP APPAREL
Official championship apparel is available for online purchase via the MIAC Shop powered by UNRestricted MKTG. The online MIAC Shop features officially licensed short-sleeve t-shirts, long-sleeve t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, tank tops, and shorts to commemorate the 2026 men's and women's conference championship meets. Respective team champion apparel will be added and available for purchase shortly after the meet.
KEEPING UP
Fans unable to attend in person will be able to follow the action with live updates via Hero's Timing. Select events will also be streamed live on the MIAC Sports Network. A full slate of links and information can be found on the championship home page.
On Friday, the Javelin will start the day for the women, scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. first mark. Long jump, discus, and high jump will also take place on Friday, going on in conjunction with the events on the track. Nine events will take place on the track over the course of Friday, all for the women, followed by the men. The 1500-meter will start, followed by the preliminary round of the 100-meter hurdles, 400-meter, 100-meter, 800-meter, 400-meter hurdles, and 200-meter. The penultimate event of the night will be the 4x800-meter relay and closing the first day of competition will be the 10,000-meter.
On Saturday, the hammer throw and triple jump will start off, both starting at 12:00 p.m., followed by the women's pole vault and shot put to end the 2026 MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. On the rubber, the women's 4x100-meter will be the first event to take place. The women's 3000-meter steeplechase will follow before the finals of Friday's preliminary events will take place, going in the same order as the previous day. After the finals of those events, the 5000-meter and 4x400-meter will close off the MIAC Championships.

Sophia Vogel (Prinsburg, Minn.) joins sophomore
Laura Thauvin (Mankato, Minn.) in scoring position, seeded fourth and fifth with times of 15.04 and 15.07 respectively. The next seeded scorer is sophomore
Allison Stacy (Maple Grove, Minn.), clocking a 12.37 to earn a fourth place seeding in prelims and will run in Lane 7 of the third heat. Vogel is also set to score in the 400-meter hurdles, just two seconds behind first place seeded fourth and fellow first-year
Ava Loftness (Prior Lake, Minn.) sits in seventh at 1:05.71, three seconds behind the best time in the conference this year. Stacy continues her MIAC Championships with a No. 8 seed in the 200-meter as well at a personal-best 25.97. Senior
Molly Liston (Richfield, Minn.) comes into the MIAC Championships with the top seed in the 10,000-meter after breaking the school record earlier this year with a time of 35:36.38 and in the 5,000-meter, she's third 2ith a time of 17:26.81 this season.
IN THE FIELD
The throws and field events continue to be a strong spot for the Gusties, starting with javelin. Junior
Anna Lacy (Silver Lake, Minn.) looks to score on Friday, opening the MIAC Championships for the team, sitting in third coming into the event. The discus will take place on Friday night as well, where Gustavus can score and score big. Junior
Olivia Duncan (Savage, Minn.) and the sophomore duo of Kiera McCord (Roseville, Minn.) and
Bella Sutch (Blaine, Minn.) are seeded 1st, 3rd, and 4th in the discus and are the No. 8 ranked event squad in discus. Ending friday night will be sophomore
Kayla Kajer (Lake Elmo, Minn.), seeded first in the high jump and one of two in the conference this year to clear 1.65 meters. On Saturday, the hammer throw will kick things off, led by junior
Rebecca Hoffman (Grand Meadow, Minn.). At the same time will be the triple jump, where Gustavus holds two of the top three marks this outdoor season. Loftness has the best mark so far in the MIAC this season with an 11.87, including the No. 14 mark in Division III so far this season, inside the cut line for the National Championships. First-year
Kaylee Hawks (Prior Lake, Minn.) has the third best mark at 11.43m and will try and earn a few more points for the Gusties. After competing in the heptathlon last week, senior
Maddox Lee (Hugo, Minn.) sits tied for fifth in season-bests, crossing 3.36 meter. The last event for the women in the field will be the shot put, with two Gusties in scoring position. Sutch sits in third and first-year
Yonna Harris (Mankato, Minn.) in seventh, while only being less than a meter away from each other.
CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
Gustavus holds the most MIAC Women's Track & Field Championships out of current member schools, having won the title in 2022, 2023, and 2025 and looking to win their fourth in the last five years.
The MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships start at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and will continue through the evening before picking the action back up at 12:00 p.m. at noon.
