NORMAN, Okla. - The Gustavus men's golf team has been named a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award recipient, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced on Wednesday.
A GCAA-record 331 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award. 155 schools received Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above in 2025-26.
The team has earned the All-Academic award distinction, meaning the team kept a 3.0 team GPA or above. In the classroom, the Gusties kept a 3.457 GPA, narrowly missing out on the President's Special Recognition, which calls for a 3.5+ team GPA.
Gustavus men's golf won five events during the 2025-26 season and advanced to the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships via an at-large bid, where the team finished 29th out of 43 teams. The Gusties open their 2026-27 campaign on September 13th and 14th at the Eau Claire Invitational.
