The Gustavus women's hockey team started its East Coast swing with a 2-1 win over Colby College in Waterville, Main. Katie Deschneau and Ellen Doyle scored goals. Kara Meyer picked up the win in the nets.

The Gusties scored both of their goals in the second period. Ellen Doyle scored to give the Gusties a 1-0 lead at 7:56. Katie Deschneau extended the lead to 2-0 at the 11:37 mark. Colby cut the lead to 2-1 with a goal at 13:34 of the second.

Gustavus outshot Colby 31-10. The Gusties will play Bowdoin on Monday in Brunswick, Maine and then Williams College on Tuesday in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The Gusties, who are ranked #10 in Division III are now 12-3-0 on the season.
