BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Spencer Swanson led the Gusties to a pair of wins last week, including a comeback victory over Macalester on Wednesday. Swanson averaged 25.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.5 steals in both games, with a season-high 28 points against Macalester to go along with 23 points against St. Scholastica on Monday. He shot 20-for-30 for the week, including shooting 7-for-8 in the second half against the Scots in a 96-86 win. The Gusties are now 5-0 in conference play for the first time since the 2009-10 season. For his performance, Swanson was named MIAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
