MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Gustavus fifth-year linebacker
Carson DeKam earned his fourth consecutive D3football.com All-Region award on Wednesday, becoming the first player in program history to be honored all four seasons. After leading the MIAC in tackles during the regular season, DeKam was selected All-Region 6 First Team Defense for the second straight year. He was Third Team in 2022 and Second Team in 2021.Â

DeKam, the 2023 MIAC Defensive Player of the Year, finished his collegiate career with 353 tackles, which ranks third in program history.
Saint John's quarterback Aaron Syverson and Bethel safety Matt Jung led the 2024Â All-Region 6 team.
