"Heading into our final session today, I told both teams, 'Let's forget about the score. Let's have fun being together and enjoy our last time as a team here today – the more we smile, the faster we swim.' And it worked," said Head Coach
Jon Carlson. "Both teams had such great leadership and stability from every class. I always tell our freshmen, 'You don't swim fast if you swim like freshmen,' and they swam like absolute champions this weekend, and were a huge part of our success on both sides."
The MIAC also announced the 2023-24 individual awards upon conclusion of the meet, with the Gusties winning three of the four major honors. Head Coach
Jon Carlson was once again tabbed MIAC Men's Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year, an honor he shares with Carleton Head Coach Andy Clark this season.
Peyton Richardson and
