SAINT PETER, Minn. - Due to unseasonably warm temperatures in the weekly forecast, the Gustavus baseball team has moved up its season and home opener to Monday, Feb. 26. The Gusties will host Northwestern-St. Paul for a non-conference doubleheader starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Gustie Baseball Field. The twin bill was originally scheduled for March 20. 

Monday's doubleheader will mark the earliest in the year Gustavus has started playing games in the 120-season history of the program, and the first games ever played in February. 

Following the games vs. Northwestern, the Gusties will travel to Tucson, Ariz. for their annual spring trip March 4-10. The MIAC opener is slated for March 30 at Augsburg.
