SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women's cross country team will compete in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championship this Saturday, November 1 at the Highland 9 Cross Country Trailhead in St. Paul. The Gusties will compete against the 11 other teams in the MIAC in the 6k race starting at 12:00 p.m.
Gustavus enters the conference championship race this season led by senior
Molly Liston. In the Gusties' race at the Dan Huston Invite on October 4
th this fall, Liston became just the fourth Gustavus runner in program history to break 22 minutes in the 6k with a time of 21:45.7. Liston's mark is also the fourth fastest time in the history of the program, trailing only three times all set by Hall of Fame alumna
Hailey Harren in 2006, establishing Liston as officially being the second-fastest Gustie in the history of the program.
Following Liston for the Gusties is
Addison Enfield with a top time of 23:05 this fall.
Anna Forbord is third this fall for Gustavus with a top-time of 23:16; just 11 seconds behind Forbird.

Francesca Geffre (24:54) round out the top five runners by top time this fall for the Gusties, with
Anna Gould (25:00) following close behind in sixth.
Last year, the Gusties placed fourth in the 2024 MIAC Championship. Liston led Gustavus in that race, placing fifth overall as a junior out of the field of 126 runners with a time of 22:40.9. Murphy placed 40
th as a sophomore at 24:29.3.
The Gusties enter this year's championship ranked No. 10 in the North Region by the
USTFCCCA Regional Rankings. Three other MIAC teams are ranked with Gustavus in the top ten: Macalester at No. 7, St. Olaf at No. 4, and Carleton at No. 2 leading the conference.
The results of the MIAC Championship will determine the All-Conference award winners as the top 15 finishers are named All-Conference and finishers 16-25 are honorable mentions. The individual winner will be named the MIAC Athlete of the Year, and coaches will vote on Rookie and Coach of the Year for each sport next week.
There is no admission fee to attend the MIAC Cross Country Championships. Parking is available on both sides of Montreal Avenue, Edgecumbe Road, and the neighborhoods around the golf courses. Bicycles and non-service animals are strictly prohibited at the course.
