11/16/2025 6:59:00 PM

SAINT PETER, Minn. – All-Region selection Molly Liston (Sr., Richfield, Minn.) has qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships, the NCAA announced on Sunday.

At the NCAA North Region Championships this weekend, Liston finished 13th in the region and first on the team with a time of 22:17.7, helping the team to a 5th place finish. Liston qualified through being one of the top seven individuals that was not on a qualifying team.

This is Liston's first appearance at the National Championships, after failing to qualify in her three years prior. In order to be eligible to participate in the championships, teams and individuals had to qualify in their respective NCAA regional competitions held this weekend. Seventy individuals, the first seven student-athletes from each region who are not a part of a qualifying team, were selected to participate in each championship. Converse University and OneSpartanburg, Inc. are hosting the championships Nov. 22 at Roger Milliken Cross Country course at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where the women's race will start at 10 a.m. Central.

Carleton and St. Olaf also qualified as a team for their performance at the NCAA North Region Championships, coupled with two individuals from Macalester to round out MIAC representation.
