ARDEN HILLS and DULUTH, Minn. - No. 28 Gustavus men's tennis completed its 39th consecutive undefeated MIAC season Saturday with shutout wins at Bethel and St. Scholastica. The Gusties claimed their unprecedented 55th MIAC regular season championship and extend their conference winning streak to 365 dual match victories, dating back to the 1985 season.

The Gusties started the day with a clean sweep in doubles, led by
Gage Gohl and
Tyler Haddorff with an 8-0 shutout at the top spot.
Taona Mhwandagara and
Josh Christensen won 8-4 at No. 2, while
Ali Derbani and
Takura Mhwandagara won 8-1 at No. 3.
Gustavus then won all six singles matches in straight sets. The lineup from top down included Gohl, Christensen, Haddorff,
Taona Mhwandagara,
Takura Mhwandagara, and Derbani.

Another doubles sweep was secured in Duluth, led by
Marco Siviero and
Dominik Knutson winning 8-3 at No. 1.
Rafael de Camargo Costa and
Luke Fridinger paired for an 8-5 win at No. 2, and
Noah Hakim and
Owen Skanse won 8-4 at No. 3.
Five of the six singles matches were won in straight sets. Knutson battled back at No. 2 to win in a third, 2-6, 6-3, 12-10.
Gustavus will now host a MIAC semifinal match on Thursday against the winner of the No. 4/5 matchup.
