NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Gustavus women's golf team concluded its spring season Sunday, April 27, competing in the final day of the St. Olaf-Carleton Invitational at Willingers Golf Club (par 72). The Gusties finished seventh of 11 teams competing with a 340-334-674 (+98).
St. Catherine won the tournament with a 317-307-624 (+48), followed by Carleton in second and Grinnell (Iowa) in third. SCU's Kyra Venne took first individually with a four-over 148.
Lauren Hubbart (Jr., Hastings, Minn.) climbed the leaderboard on the second day of competition, posting a season- and career-best 77 on Sunday to finish 10th overall. Hubbart's top 10 finish was driven by a round two with a four-shot birdie and 11 pars.
Maren Masters (So., Shakopee, Minn.) finished 13th overall behind Hubbart, carding a round two 83 that featured two birdies, one a two-shot performance on hole seven, and seven pars.
Riley Zebroski (So., Watertown, S.D.) scored an 84 on Sunday for a 172 and 35th, while
Emily Kolb (Jr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) rounded out the top four with a 179 for 45th overall.
Josie Raiche (So., Orono, Minn.) took 59th overall, followed by
Mary Kate Hewitt (So., Edina, Minn.) in 63rd.
Jenna Piepkorn (Jr., Plymouth, Minn.) finished with a 101 after her one round of the weekend.
Aside from the MIAC Championships, where the Gusties finished fifth out of 10 teams, Gustavus finished in the top five of three other tournaments in 2024-25. The Gusties went 27-24 against MIAC schools, and recorded an average of 332.0 over 17 rounds. Individually, three Gusties posted top five finishes and added three more in the top 10 of different events.
