SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team is hosting the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Championship this weekend. Multiple Gusties won matches on day one to advance further in the tournament.
 
In singles, eight Gusties advanced to the Round of 32: Gage Gohl, Deuce Daniel, Quinn Monson, Luke Fridinger, Takura Mhwandagara, Dominik Knutson, Tyler Haddorff, Noah Hakim. Gohl won a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Charles Flaman of Macalester. Daniel defeated Carson Haack of Northwestern 5-1 by retirement. Mhwandagara took down Joel Simon of Bethany Lutheran 6-1, 6-3. Knutson won 6-2, 6-2 over Daniel Rohlman of Coe. Haddorff was victorious over Murilo Prestes Zeni of Concordia Wisconsin. Hakim earned a 6-3, 6-3 win over Alexander Doane of Grinnell.
 
In doubles, the Gustavus duos of Gohl and Haddorff (8-3), Hakim and Skanse (8-6), Knutson and Mhwandagara (8-4), and Fridinger and Daniel (8-5) all advanced to the Round of 32 as well.
