OMAHA, Neb. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis team competed in day one of the Crieghton/Omaha Invite on Friday. The Gusties fell in each of their matches.
In singles,
Kaya De Bruijn narrowly fell 7-6 (7-5) in the opening set of her match before falling 6-2 in the second.
Ella De Young fell 6-4 in her opening set but rallied for a 6-3 victory in the second before falling 10-6 in the tiebraker.
In doubles,
Maya Brakhage and
Savannah Rosenhan's match went to a tiebreaker tied up at 6-6 before falling 7-2 in the tiebreaker.
The Gusties compete on day two of the invite on Saturday.
