BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Wilmer Svensson of the Gustavus Adolphus College men's hockey team has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Hockey Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Svensson scored twice in the Gusties' 5-4 overtime win over St. Mary's on Friday, scoring his second overtime game-winner of the season and his team-leading 10
th goal of the season to secure the victory.
Up next for the Gusties is a non-conference road game at the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Friday, January 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
