BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Carly Olson of the Gustavus Adolphus College softball team has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Softball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Olson slashed .429/.500/.714 for a 1.214 OPS in four games last week, driving in 10 runs with four of her six hits going for doubles. The junior went 4-for-4 with three doubles and five RBI in game one of a doubleheader against Hamline and drove in three more runs in game two. Olson drove in two more runs with a double at St. Olaf.
Gustavus returns to Saint Peter for a home doubleheader on Tuesday, April 21 starting at 3:30 p.m. against Saint Benedict at the Gustie softball field.
