GREENWOOD, Ind. – The No. 22 nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team had four student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Academic All-District awards, the organization formerly known as CoSIDA announced on Tuesday.
Gage Gohl,
Tyler Haddorff,
Dominik Knutson, and
Luke Fridinger all earned Academic All-District honors.
CSC Tennis Academic All-District award winners must have a cumulative GPA above 3.50 and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Student-athletes must also be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition (regional competition such as ITAs and non-team scored events do not count).
Gohl is a Communication Studies and Sports Management double major with a 3.974 GPA. In singles this season, the senior is 18-12 overall with a 9-9 record at #1 singles, a 9-3 record in tournaments, and an undefeated 5-0 record in the MIAC. In doubles, Gohl is 27-5 overall with a 16-4 record at #1 doubles, an 11-1 mark in tournament matches, and went 5-0 in conference matches. This is the second CSC Academic All-District award for Gohl in his career. The senior also earned Academic All-American honors in 2025.
Haddorff is a Business Management major with a 3.667 GPA. The senior went 19-9 in singles matches with a 16-4 record in duals, playing mostly #3 with a 13-4 (6-0 MIAC) record while going 3-0 at both #2 and #3 singles in the conference. In doubles, Haddorff is 29-5 overall with a 18-4 duals record, primarily playing #1 doubles where he is 16-4 with a 5-0 MIAC record. This is the second CSC Academic All-District award for Haddorff in his career.
Knutson is a Sport Management and Business Management double major with a 3.572 GPA. The junior is 22-9 overall in singles with a 17-5 mark in duals, going 16-4 at #2 singles and 5-1 in the conference. In doubles, Knutson went 20-6 overall and 15-4 in duals with a 13-3 record at #2 doubles and a perfect 6-0 mark in the MIAC. This is the first CSC Academic All-District award for Knutson in his career.
Fridinger is an Accounting with Finance and Scandinavian Studies double major with a 3.655 GPA. The senior went 13-10 overall in singles and 12-17 in duals, going 7-7 at #5 singles and 6-0 in the MIAC. In doubles, Fridinger went 8-4 overall with a 6-1 record in duals. This is the first CSC Academic All-District award for Fridinger in his career.
The Gusties closed out their team competition this season with a 20-10 overall record. In the MIAC, Gustavus won all nine matches to clinch their 56th overall and 37th consecutive MIAC Regular Season Championship, improving their all-time record in conference regular season games to 595-3. In the conference postseason, the Gusties won their 15th consecutive and 18th all-time MIAC postseason title.
Though their team competition has closed, three Gusties are still set to compete in the NCAA Individual Championships starting May 23. The duo of Gohl and Haddorff will compete for a chance to win their second national doubles title in their careers while Gohl and Knutson will compete in the singles tournament.
