CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Gage Gohl, Tyler Haddorff, and Dominik Knutson of the No. 23 nationally ranked Gustavus men's tennis team are headed to Tennessee for the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships this weekend, representing the Gusties as individuals. Gohl and Knutson are set to compete in the singles bracket and the duo of Gohl and Haddorff will compete in the doubles bracket.

In the first round singles bracket on Saturday, May 23, No. 14 nationally ranked Gohl is set to take on No. 13 Ethan Green of Denison and No. 29 Knutson will battle No. 9 Emil Grantcharov of UChicago. The winners will advance to the second round matches set for later that same day.
 
In the doubles bracket, the No. 12 duo of Gohl and Haddorff are set to face off against the No. 13 team of Colin Fox and Jeremy Sieben of WashU in the first round on Saturday.

In singles this season, Gohl is 18-12 overall with a 9-9 record at #1 singles, a 9-3 record in tournaments, and an undefeated 5-0 record in the MIAC. Knutson is 22-9 overall in singles with a 5-4 tournament record and a 17-5 mark in duals, going 16-4 at #2 singles and 5-1 in the conference.
 
This past fall, Gohl and Knutson each won five matches against the top regional opponents to advance to the singles final of the ITA Men's Tennis Midwest Regional Championships. Gohl defeated Knutson 6-1, 6-3 to earn All-American honors. Both advanced to the ITA Cup, where Gohl won two more matches to advance to the national semifinals.
 
The doubles team of Gohl and Haddorff is 27-5 overall this year with a 16-4 record at #1 doubles, an 11-1 mark in tournament matches, and went 5-0 in conference matches. The duo won five matches in a row at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships to win the regional doubles title and All-American honors. They then went on to advance to the national quarterfinals at the ITA Cup.
 
If the Gusties win and advance past their matches on Saturday, the quarterfinal rounds of singles and doubles will take place on Sunday, May 24. The semifinalists will then compete on Monday, May 25. The championship match is set for Tuesday, May 26.
