SAINT PETER, Minn. - The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced their Krampade All-American Scholars for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday and players from both the men's and women's programs continued to land among the nation's best.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goalies. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA. The names of 994 Division II-III men (550) and women (444) are being released today, their Division I counterparts
being announced last week.
Gustavus boasts 16 total All-American Scholars, with nine coming from the men's hockey program and seven from the women's hockey program.
The men's hockey team's nine members is six more than in 2025, when only three made the list. There are two returners this season to the list, junior
Jackson McCarthy (Buffalo N.Y./Biology and Psychological Science) and senior
Nate Stone (Edina, Minn./Business Management and Sport Management). The seven new members this season are first-year
Kyle Doll (Lakeville, Minn./Undecided), first-year
Gregor Jennersjo (Stockholm, Sweden/Physics), first-year
John Johannson (Minneapolis, Minn./Undecided), first-year
Emil Samuelsson (Stockholm, Sweden/Undecided), first-year
Charlie Sandven (Edina, Minn./Undecided), senior
Wilmer Svensson (Stockholm, Sweden/Business Management and Sport Management), and sophomore
Jack Wineman (Birmingham, Mich./Sport Management and Business Management).
The women's hockey team brings seven members to the list this season, including three returners, junior
Avery Braunshausen (Lake Elmo, Minn./Business Management and Sport Management) and seniors
Gianna Gasparini (Lakeville, Minn./Psychology) and
Grace Schuck (Bloomington, Minn./Business Management). The four new additions are first-year
Bauer Ackerman (Bismark, N.D./Biology), senior
Lindsay Berggren (Shoreview, Minn./Biology), first-year
Talia Domschot (White Bear Lake, Minn./Business Management), and first-year
Kayleigh Olson (Delano, Minn./Undecided).
