EDINA, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women's golf team is set to compete in the 2026 MIAC Women's Golf Championships this weekend at Braemar Golf Course in Edina. The three-round tournament begins on Friday, October 2 with first tee times set for 11:00 a.m. The field of nine MIAC teams will all compete on the same course over three days with the winning team set to earn an automatic qualifier bid to the NCAA Championship in the spring.
Addison Longie leads the Gusties heading into the MIAC Championship. The sophomore has an average score of 78.0 through eight rounds this fall. Longie holds the top five lowest rounds for Gustavus this season, shooting 71 and 73 twice each and firing a 76. At the St. Kate's Invite last month, the sophomore broke the program record for best 36-hole score, shooting for even par with rounds of +1 and -1 to break a Gustie record set back in 2005 by alumna Kelli Groff.
Teckla Wahlstrand follows with the second-best average score of the season for Gustavus, averaging 80.5 in eight rounds. The sophomore shot a season-best rounds of 76 and 77 at the Gusties' D3 Classic to record two of the top 10 rounds of the season for Gustavus.
Karina Johnson enters the conference championship with an average score of 81.9 in eight rounds, ranking third for the Gusties this fall. The first year shot a 78 at the D3 Classic to tie for the 10
th best Gustavus round of the year.
Annika Johnson and
Riley Zebroski round out the five-player Gustie squad that will battle the other eight teams in the conference for the MIAC title. Johnson is averaging a score of 83.0 through six rounds this fall and Zebroski is averaging 83.4 in eight.
Last year, Gustavus tied for 4
th of 10 at the 2025 MIAC Championship. Longie led the Gusties at last year's championship, shooting +24 over the three-day tournament to tie for 12
th overall out of the field of 48 golfers. Zebroski shot +27 to tie for the third-best Gustavus score of the weekend and for 15
th overall. Wahlstrand shot +32 to place 25
th overall.
The first round and second rounds of the tournament are set to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. The third and final round of the championship will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 4.
Spectators are welcome to attend the 2026 MIAC Women's Golf Championships at Braemar Golf Course and must follow all
local and
spectator rules.
