Gymnastics to Compete Saturday in 2026 WIAC Championship / NCGA West Regional

WINONA, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College gymnastics team is set to compete in the 2026 WIAC Women's Gymnastics Championship on Saturday, March 7 starting at 12:30 p.m. Also known as the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional, the meet features all nine teams in the conference competing at Winona State University as they vie for the WIAC title.

The championship meet will be broadcast to the WIAC Network where fans can purchase access to watch the events. Live results, which can be accessed for free, are available for both sessions of the day as well. The Gusties are competing in Session 1.

ALL-CONFERENCE
 
The All-Conference awards are decided based upon the results of the championship events. The top six finishers in each event receive All-Conference designation.
 
 
BALANCE BEAM
 
Kate Clairmont leads the Gusties on the balance beam this season. The sophomore has a top score of 9.775 in the event, which she achieved on February 20 against Simpson and UW-Stout, that ties her for the best balance beam score in the history of the program. Clairmont's average score in the beam this winter has been 9.559.
 
Megan Gille follows with an average of 9.281 in the beam this year with a top score of 9.625. Cara Wong is third in the beam this season, averaging 8.921 with a top score of 9.600.
 
 
VAULT
 
In the vault, Wong leads the way with a top score of 9.700 this year. The sophomore set her season-high mark on February 27 against Simpson, tying her for the fourth-best score in the vault in program history. Wong has averaged 9.534 on the vault this winter.
 
Clairmont has the second-best marks in the vault for Gustavus, averaging 9.497 with a high of 9.650. Taylor Hall is third in the event with an average of 9.440 and a top score of 9.525.
 
 
FLOOR
 
Wong leads the Gusties in the floor exercise this year with a top score of 9.600, set February 27 against Simpson. The sophomore averages 9.436 in the event this season.
 
Zara Reboks has the second-best score in the floor this winter for the Gusties with a 9.550 and an average of 9.384. Makenna Aldrich is tied with Reboks with a top score of 9.550 in the floor exercise but Gille has the next best average score of 9.297.
 
 
BARS
 
In the uneven bars, Wong has the top marks for the Gusties. The sophomore set the top mark this season at the triangular with UW-Each Claire and Winona State on January 16 with a score of 9.550. Wong averages 9.138 in the event.
 
Autumn Schmidt has the next-best mark this winter, averaging 8.953 with a high of 9.500. Clairmont follows with an average of 8.668 and a top score of 9.150.
 
 
ALL-AROUND
 
Wong and Reboks lead Gustavus in the all-around this season with top marks of 38.100 and 37.175 respectively. Wong's 38.100, set February 27 against Simpson, ties her for the fourth-best score in program history. On average, Wong scores 37.114 and Reboks earns 36.033.
 

CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE
 
The Gusties will compete in the first session of the day starting at 12:30 p.m. with Winona State, Simpson, UW-Stout, and Hamline. The second session will start at 6:00 p.m. with UW-Oshkosh, UW-Whitewater, UW-La Crosse, and UW-Eau Claire competing. The awards ceremony will be held at 8:00 p.m. with event medals and team champion awarded.
