BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The No. 20 nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis team was well represented Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Awards for the 2026 season that were announced on Tuesday. Five Gusties were named All-Conference and seven in total earned awards from the MIAC for their performance this spring.
Gustavus won their 32nd MIAC Regular Season Championship this season with a perfect 10-0 record in the conference, going on to win their 10th MIAC Playoff Championship to advance to the NCAA Touranment for the 28th time in program history.
Karina Elvestrom earned All-Playoff honors and All-Conference recognition in both singles and doubles. The sophomore is 24-8 overall in singles, going 7-2 in tournaments and 17-6 in duals at #1 singles with an 8-1 record in the MIAC. In doubles, Elvestrom is 25-4 with a 19-2 record at #1 doubles and 8-1 in the MIAC at the top doubles spot.
Kaya De Bruijn earned All-Playoff honors and All-Conference recognition in both singles and doubles. The senior is 22-6 overall in singles, going 18-3 in duals at #2 singles and undefeated in the MIAC at 9-0 in #2 singles. In doubles, De Bruijn is 25-4 overall and 19-1 in duals at #1 doubles while going 8-1 in the MIAC at the same spot.
Molly Austin earned All-Playoff honors and All-Conference recognition in both singles and doubles. The senior is 21-5 overall in singles, going 18-4 in duals while primarily playing #3 singles with a 17-4 record overall and 8-0 mark in the MIAC. In doubles, Austin is 21-4 overall and 19-3 in duals, going 18-3 at #2 doubles overall and 8-0 in the MIAC.
Lanie Davis earned All-Conference recognition in both singles and doubles. The sophomore is 21-3 overall at singles, going 20-2 (9-0 MIAC) in duals with an 8-0 (3-0 MIAC) record at #5 and 11-2 (5-0 MIAC) record at #6. In doubles, Davis is 22-4 overall and 19-3 in duals, primarily playing #2 singles with an 18-3 (8-0 MIAC) record.
Ella De Young earned All-Conference recognition in doubles and honorable mention honors in singles. The junior is 23-5 overall in doubles, going 20-4 (9-0 MIAC) in duals while mostly playing #3 with a 16-3 (8-0 MIAC) record. In singles, De Young is 17-5 overall, going 16-4 (8-0) in duals while going 4-0 (2-0 MIAC) at #4 and 9-3 (5-0 MIAC) at #5.
Noor Omar earned honorable mention recognition in singles. The sophomore is 14-6 overall in singles and 11-5 (5-1 MIAC) in duals, all at #4 singles.
Allison Szalay earned honorable mention recognition in doubles. The senior is 19-5 overall in doubles and 17-4 (7-0 MIAC) in duals, going 14-3 (6-0) at #3 doubles.
Up next for the Gusties is the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Gustavus has a bye through the opening round and will take on ether the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Eagles or the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets on Saturday, May 9.
