GREENWOOD, Ind. – Gustavus Adolphus College had 12 student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III At-Large Academic All-District awards, the organization formerly known as CoSIDA announced on Tuesday. The awards recognize student-athletes who perform at an elite level in both their chosen sport and in the classroom.
The CSC At-Large Academic All-District award winners must have a cumulative GPA above 3.50 and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Student-athletes must also meet CSC's criteria for competitions played for their sport.
2025-26 Men's At-Large Academic All-District Award Winners
Blake Forrest is a Financial Economics and Sport Management double major for the men's golf team with a 3.83 GPA who earned MIAC All-Conference honors this year. The junior averaged 75.2 in 28 rounds this season for Gustavus which was fourth-best for the Gusties and ranked 15
th in the MIAC. Forrest is ranked #32 in the region and #241 in the nation.
Grant Ellings is a Financial Economics major for the men's hockey team with a 3.57 GPA who earned MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors this year. The junior forward's 19 points were the third-most on the team, his 11 goals were tied for the eighth-most in the MIAC, and his +14 plus/minus ranked fourth for the Gusties.
Drew Holt is a Financial Economics major for the men's hockey team with a 3.66 GPA who earned MIAC All-Conference honors this year. The junior forward led Gustavus with 23 points this winter with three goals and a team-high 20 assists. Holt's assist numbers ranked third-most in the MIAC and his 0.74 assists per game ranked fourth. This is the second CSC Academic All-District award for Holt in his career.
Jackson McCarthy is a Biology and Psychological Science double major for the men's hockey team with a 3.91 GPA. The junior defender had 10 points this past season with two game-winning goals and eight assists, recorded 15 blocks, and finished with a +15 plus/minus for the year. This is the second CSC Academic All-District award for McCarthy in his career.
Nate Stone is a Business Management and Sport Management double major for the men's hockey team with a 3.75 GPA. The senior forward had 13 points this past season with seven goals and six assists. Stone had the fifth-best shot percentage for the Gusties at .159, recorded 11 blocks, and had a +12 plus/minus. This is the second CSC Academic All-District award for Stone in his career.
Wilmer Svensson is a Business Management and Sport Management double major for the men's hockey team with a 3.64 GPA who earned MIAC All-Conference honors this year. The senior forward finished the season with 11 goals, two of which were overtime game-winners, to tie him for the team lead and eighth-most in the MIAC. In faceoffs, Svensson's and his 198 wins ranked 10th in the MIAC while his face-off win percentage of .558 was sixth in the conference.
2025-26 Women's At-Large Academic All-District Award Winners
Riley Zebroski is an Exercise Physiology major for the women's golf team with a 3.54 GPA who earned MIAC All-Conference honors this year. The junior averaged 80.0 in 21 rounds this season for Gustavus which was second-best for the Gusties and ranked 15th in the MIAC. The junior is ranked #39 in the region and #217 in the nation.
Kate Clairmont is a Biochem & Molecular Biology and Spanish double major for the gymnastics team with a 3.96 GPA. The sophomore had top scores of 9.650 in the vault, 9.275 in the uneven bars, and tied the Gusties' all-time record score in the balance beam with a 9.775.
Cara Wong is a Communication Studies and Political Science double major for the gymnastics team with a 3.97 GPA who earned NCGA and WCGA All-American honors this year. The sophomore competed at the NCHA Championships and had top scores of 9.700 in the vault, 9.550 in the uneven bars, 9.600 in the balance beam, and 9.600 in the floor exercise.
Avery Braunshausen is a Business Management and Sport Management double major for the women's hockey team with a 3.96 GPA. The junior forward recorded seven points this season, scoring a goal and recording the fourth-most assists on the team with six. Braunshausen also had seven blocks for the Gusties. This is the second CSC Academic All-District award for Braunshausen in her career.
Eva Nelson is a Biology major for the women's hockey team with a 3.80 GPA who earned MIAC All-Conference and All-Playoff honors this year. The sophomore defender ranked third in the conference in shots, firing 80 on opposing goaltenders while holding it down on the Gustavus blue line. In conference play, the Buffalo native had nine points, three goals, and six assists while taking the second most shots on the team and blocking nine shots.
Kylie Scott is a Biology major for the women's hockey team with a 3.74 GPA who earned MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention and All-Playoff honors this year. The junior defender and captain scored eight goals in conference play and added four assists, including a stretch of four games in a row with a goal and a separate three-game span. Scott led the conference with four game-winning goals as well in MIAC contests and ranks sixth in the country overall with five game-winning goals. This is the second CSC Academic All-District award for Scott in her career.
