2023 CCM/ACHA Women's DIII All-America West First Team Defense

Vrieze, a 3x team captain, started in all of the Gusties' games on the blue line in the 2023 season, leading all defenders in scoring with 20 points on three goals and 17 assists. Vrieze owned a +23 rating with 14 power play points, the most by any player on the team. A first-line defender, Vrieze has helped the Gusties lead all of NCAA women's hockey with a team goals against average of 0.83. The Gusties earned 13 shutouts in the season, allowing just 16.0 shots on goal per game.
