A face on the “Mount Rushmore” of Gustavus softball icons, Audrey Lenoch was so versatile on the field that she earned three National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America honors at three different positions. Lenoch’s athleticism allowed her to play virtually every position on the field—outside of pitching—excelling wherever she was asked to play. One of the best defensive players the program has ever seen, Lenoch graduated with the second-best fielding percentage in school history at .982, committing just 18 errors in 1,000 fielding chances.
Lenoch made her presence known in her first season, helping the team capture the MIAC regular season championship while earning All-Conference and Second Team All-America honors at the utility position. Lenoch found a home at third base during her sophomore season, once again earning All-Conference and Second Team All-America honors after hitting .544. The Pine Island, Minn. native went on to earn All-Conference honors in both her junior and senior seasons, becoming the second player in program history to earn All-Conference honors all four seasons. She also claimed her third Second Team All-America honor after her senior season, this time at first base, where she hit .510 with 46 RBI. Lenoch graduated as the school record holder in slugging percentage (.712), runs (120), hits (209), triples (17), home runs (16), doubles (47), RBI (152), and total bases (338).
After graduating in 2006 with a major in nursing, Lenoch entered the medical field as a registered nurse (RN). Lenoch has been an RN for 16 years, working in a variety of areas. She has been a board certified psychiatric RN for five years, currently working in a mental health facility in Kalispell, Montana. Audrey lives in Columbia Falls, Montana with her dog, Farkle.
